hmmm...well when I think of a "warm" drum,I hear a drum with a low,deep sound with little or no lingering sound(sustain) after you hit it.Like...Doon,Doon.A "bright" drum will sound more high pitched with a long sustain.Like...DINnnn,DINnnn.haha.To me,to achieve a good sounding "warm" drum that doesn't sound "dead" and is in pitch with corresponding drums is much more difficult.You can throw any coated heads on your drums and cinch em down and get a decent "bright" sound all day."Bright" is probably the sound of your drums now...or "dead".lol.Man,just remember,you get what you pay for.You know what I'm sayin?
