"break sooner" they only break if you hit em the wrong way. relly I recomend splash first, you can practice other styles of music besides Prog, Punk, and rock Besides "How else can you get $500 bucks for playing in a wedding" -Music store sales person
Also they dont cost more then $100 at the most, also if you want Earn a couple more bucks to get the one you want and even to buy a drum head or two.
