Haha, well we can't really compare ourselves to neil peart..

but anyway,, i disagree.. rudiments are important because they will give you new ideas for fill ins and grooves and improve stick control feel and everything else for your technique... even if you dont you the rudiments directly they ahve big impact on your playing overall...

i suggest you get some good rudimental books like stick control or syncopation and work on those as well as learning all of the rudiments if you can
