Don't get me wrong there, i like Paiste cymbals and have owned many over the years, 602,s, 2000's, 2002,s, Signature, and Alpha models. All great cymbals.

It was just the 101 pot lids that i first owned when i started, that were aweful. The next up the line from then back then that were a bit better sounding were the 505's, but opted for the even better 2002 series, and they have been gigged on regularly for the last 25 years, a good choice. If were to change cymbals i would consider signature series, they are so all purpose and appeal to me. Haven't heard the new 2007 series classics, they read o.k on their web site, yet to reach the stores here to check out.
And then i have enough

I am not one to follow "Brand Names" or other drummer set ups, as many will know. I choose to pick cymbals on their merit to fit the music i play, and by my own choice of what i like the sound of.
My current playing set is Zildjian ride, Paiste HH, Sabian crash, Meinl splash, Zildjian crash, Paiste china.
