Well I see it can get mean here. :-) I do a lot of free gigs these a days sinse I have gotten a lot older. But I still get paid very well when I play a pay gig. I have a band but I also do alot of studio work and sit in a lot. So even though I agree a little with UpStroke I also agree that sometimes you are in an area that does not pay well and you must do what you can. In the beginning of my music I played a ot of free gigs toget known. I was a proud Union member and I also remember when things went bad for it. We are living in 2007 and it is what it is. We have to accept this and move on or complain and live with anger. I don't like it either but I also believe we got to do what we can do. I know this is not a good saying to most but I satrted palying music for fun and after a lot of years at it I am still having fun.
