The response off the head is very important,that happens to me as well.I like a really loose bass drum head and a "big" pretty loose action on my beaters.By big I mean the backswing is very long as opposed to alot of dbl bass drummers who set the beater angle ridiculously close.I have learned to play w/ my foot back quite far down on the footboard.Like halfway.This with the action of the springs has help.It was hard to control right off the bat but,its getting there.What kinda pedal are you using? |
