just joined, happy to be here. I started playing in 1984, on a cb 700 5 pc. in my basement. now I'm 34 and happy to be playing more than metal. I now have a starclassic preformer, and stage custom. I don't like the stage custom, even though it looks cool, it has lame playability. I'm thinking I might order a starclassic bubinga 7 pc, with the warlord masai snare. I like the A CUSTOM series cymbals, but I think all the manufacturers have thier good points. The drumset I am thinking of ordering, I have gotten several quotes for; they all come in 4k for the shells. I found a guy in denver colorado, who says the 2008 performer birch/bubinga shell package is about the same in sound, but the inner plys are the bubinga, so the awesome look is somewhat affected. But the price is 2400 for the 7 pc configuration, with the warlord snare. I'm kinda a sucker for tama drums, I bought my first tama set in 1989, it was a rockstar pro 9 pc dbl bass, and that kit got me through 1994, and a TON of shows. I didnt play alot between 1995 and 1999. Then I got hooked up with a really cool country/metal band called REXWAY. you can download the album I am on called county10 from alink on thier myspace page. Then I left the band and the released LAST CALL SCARS also available for free download. I personally recomend the county 10 album(of course) well, if you have any thoughts let me know. otherwise...
