Re: recovering metalhead

Hey man, I am new here also. I have been searching for the right kit for the last year. Have played Yamaha Maple Customs for 12 years. Tried to order DW, way too much and long wait, Gretsch custom was not so custom after all, Ddrum were real pricy.. etc....So I started looking into custom drums from smaller companies. Well I settled on SJC Custom drums out of Massechussets. They are the coolest people...willing to do whatever you want. My set consists of 7x10, 8x12, 9x13, 14x14, 16x16, 20x20 kick, 7x14 10 ply snare. Cost around 4500.00. All toms have claw style wood hoops. These drums have a dynamic that I have been looking for for years. I play all kinds of music from hard rock to Doo Wop...I am set to pick them up this week...Moral of the story....give the little guys a chance. And support America! I also play A Customs...Do a google search for custom drums. You will be blown away by how many great companies there are! You can check out a photo of my snare on the SJC Custom website in the gallery/snares page. Its the second snare-white marine pearl. Peace! Anthony
