LOL, you didn't say a lot of details. When I got my first snare drum, I broke the bottom head trying to re-tune it. Then we took it back to the music store and my drum teacher re-tuned it. He made a comment that he had it tuned right, to begin with.
Anyway, on how to tune your bass drum, visit the Aquarian drum head site. That's www dot aquariandrumheads.com. On this homepage, click on "Drum Head Tips." You will find lots of useful information there. Click on "Tuning Sheets," and look for the information on tuning bass drums. (You'll need Adobe Acrobat reader on your computer. Print it out and follow it to a tee.
