I actually like having 17" and 19" crashes when I'm not using two 20" beasts. I remember hearing sound clips of the dark crash on the sabian website and loving it, but cymbals can sound a lot different in person and I haven't tried one in person.
What I can tell you though is that the stage crash and power crashes really impressed me. If you're a heavy hitter, you might like the metal crash as well. I use to play with this guy who was heavily into death metal and nu metal. This guy simply did not know how to hit something at less than full intensity, and the metal crash worked really well for him. |
