Re: When you break a stick... If you break a stick it is most likely that you are playing wrong. Think about what you were doing when the stick broke. If you are breaking sticks a lot--Get another good drummer to watch you play. You-not the stick are doing something wrong.
You should be able to play at any volume in any venue and not break sticks.
check out your playing habits and style. Are you tense when you play?? Do you notice the shoulder of the stick is all frayed from hitting cymbals on the edge??
Is your focus of drumming just on hitting the drum on a downstroke?? Are you letting the stick rebound?? or are you just thinking about the hit? |
