I like my Taye Gokit for small jazz things--sound good and easy to cart around.
I use my Force 2000 for rock stuff and I like my RMV (what Bambam said) for bigband. I have an early '80s supraphonic that I like for most stuff (I don't have an RMV snare and the Force 2000 snare isn't so hot). For practice, I do most stuff on my Hart Gigapro with Roland mod. I can get so many sounds and the kits sound great and my family doesn't have to endure the noise. I actually have everything I've ever bought with the exception of hardware that's fallen apart over the years. I still have a no-name kit I bought in 8th grade that kept me going for quite a few years and the A Zildjians are worth much more than I paid for the whole kit. I've been fortunate to have gotten good deals on everything. |
