The Lenny White Signature "Epoch" Ride was developed via a collaborative process between Lenny, the master cymbalsmiths in Istanbul, Turkey and the product specialists in the USA and is heavily inspired by a ride given to Lenny by the late, great Tony Williams.

Said Lenny, “I met the gentlemen at Istanbul Agop in 2006. After hearing and playing the cymbals they were making and seeing how they were doing it, I knew that they could actually create a ride cymbal that would have that vintage sound that I’ve always loved.” The ride is made from Istanbul Agop’s own special B20 alloy. A combination of more advanced hand hammering, shaping and lathing techniques give it a dry, yet cutting, full sticking sound with a thunderous, dark crash.

Lenny began his recording career on Miles Davis’ "*****es Brew" and gained further recognition as a member of Return To Forever and has since maintained his status of one the most sought after and influential fusion drummers of all time.

This is exciting news for those involved with the Istanbul Agop company, and for drummers everywhere!

not an Isatanbull fan... I find that the level of hype far exceedes the actual performance of the very VARIABLE and, by that, I mean, much more variable than the usual variance between cymbals of the major three or four.

If you have access to a showroom with a ton of Isatanbulls to choose from then.....IF you have the time and patience and experience AND ear plus so much experience as to not "get lost duriing the endless "ding ding dinging and crash crash crashing so as to be able to dig your way thru the pile of dogs and find the odd accidental random lucky jem in the huge load of lemons then it could just be worth the search....in my case there is no outlet near me that offers over a hundred of each of their models to choose from ....even tho I do believe I have the ear and time to sort them out.

Why mess with this junk when right here in the USA we have (a national treasure) Zildjian ....a genuine Turkish Co. that chose ....like many of our forefathers to re-locate to where free enterprise was encouraged

....It's either that or go al the way to a cymbal like a "Dream" wher you can go thru the same process as you would with an Isatanbull but you have the "luxury of knowing how mistreated and mis-paid the workers are...not to mention the disease potential of gear that is made where workers are forced to deficate in an open trench (sewer) beside the facility where your gear is produced,
