My kit is an old black 5-piece Sunlite NS-509 from 1996. Since then I've tossed the stock snare, added a disengaged Yamaha Snare for an extra tom sound, and added a Pearl Slipknot 13"x6.5" snare for that nice tight piccolo sound. I've also tossed the single pedal and upgraded to a cam driven PDP double bass pedal. All drums are in Remo Ambassador Pinstripes, or Ebony Ambassador Pinstripes. I also have two cowbells (LP 4-3/4", and Pearl Anarchy) for some fun tones when needed.
I'm looking to upgrade my hardware, and upgrade to a great cymbal package very soon, but it looks like there is a lot to learn about picking out sounds so I can describe what I'm loking for. |
