The industry standard for quite some time has been a 12" and 13" tom mounted off the bass drum, 16" floor tom close by. Though with the changes in drums over the years and isolation mounts becomming more popular it is pretty much anything goes now. Shazaam said it right when the most important thing is if it "feels" right to you.
There is no right or wrong way to drums... If anything experiment and see what happens. |
