Re: Snare Placement

yup, that works for me too

Originally a 5 pc 1984 Tama Swingstar #3.
Link: Tama History

Modified with 10" and 14" hanging toms.

Makes it 10", 12", 13", 14", 16" toms, 24" kick, 14" snare.
14" Zildjian New Beat Hats, 16" Sabian B8 Medium Crash, 10" Sabian B8 splash, 16" Zildjian Thin Crash, 20" Sabian B8 Ride.

Snare positioned between the 10 and 12 for comfort, and multiple hit area placement and close to hihats for my music styles.
Have since eliminated 2 cymbal stands and put everything but the 12 and 13 on a Gibraltar Rack.
Easier to setup and tear down. And also load in my van.

This all fits nicely on a 4' x 6' rug.
