Hello Littledenny, As another old guy, I am also getting back to playing after a long layoff, was in a top-40 band in the 70s. I wasn't really very good but got by. I also have a Export set and just got a 'Pro-M' set from Mapex (which is about in the middle of the Mapex line) off of Ebay. While this is probably not many anybodys idea of a dream set, I really like it. Along with a good set of cymbals this is a nice kit. Like you I'm not looking to eventually join a band but just have fun banging around. Would have a long way to go to be good enough to do that anyway. Tack care and have fun, returndrummer |
