The pinstrips dont have the long ring to them they have a basey sound to them witch I like but it depends on what your prefrence is! On the tuning point of view I have my reso heads tune a little higher than my badder head! to give the heads a little more tone to them because being two ply heads they are more durable but they dampin the tone of the drums alittle!
