I played on Roland electrics for several years. Our band practiced using them which helped alot in a small studio. We used them for smaller gigs and weddings. It made it easier to control the volume and I really liked them. The bass kick head finally gave out after 5 years but I had been using a felt batter which damages the head over time so stick with the solid batters. I've head of a cuple drummer friens who did not like the rubber style heads because there wrists would ache after playing for several hours. Go ahead a beat the crap out of those Rolands, I have 4 kids who couldn't hurt them. |
