What to do with a cracked cymbal?

Well, my trusty paiste 802 "16 has bit the dust.

After 5 or more years of loyal service (don't believe me? just listen on my band site below), it's finally gotten a big, ugly crack in it.

Fortunately, I had some old hardware lying around, that I moved on and I'm ready to buy a replacement Alpha or Pst5 (or any other quality substitute around AUD $200 please suggest).

But what to do with all that lovely bronze alloy that I've got laying there in a once great cymbal. Do I simply through it in the bin or is there a better way to get it to someone who could still put it to good use?

I would think that Paiste should be able to melt it down and craft another fine joy disk out of it, but I mailed them and got no response.

So bearing in mind that I don't really want to make an ornament out of it, and have its lifless corpse hanging around my house like a bad smell, What should I do with my old cymbal?
