Ahh! I reckon the head is the problem! I've used that head before and that barstad enormous dot just focusses everything into one big splat.
I would recomend either the remo powerstroke 3, the evans genera powercenter (which I use) or the evans genera dry.
The power stroke 3 is a straight-up good responsive head for the remo user. The powercenter is very similar but for the dot of extra mylar in the middle for a little focussing and the genera dry will give you a lot more crack for your buck. |
