I had that same problem with a PDP kit. The mounting lug (inside the shell) went into the lug housing too far and when the tuning lug got screwed down far enough, it made contact with the tip of the mounting screw. Back out the mounting screw and see if you can turn the tuning lug all the way down or in. |
