Re: Tama vs. Mapex? Of everything I have ever owned Yamaha has had the best customer service I've ever known. When I was a kid I bought a Tama kit, 2 months later the tom arm snapped and the tom bounced of the bass nicking the s!@# out of the shell and tom. Tama basically said, "haha, nothing we can do, play lighter". Sold them that day (actually traded them taking a hit) and went to a pearl set that was just ok, nothing special. Of Slingerland (yes, I'm old) Ludwig (way before Selmer) Tama, Pearl, and old Premier, Yamaha has had the best for me. Pure personal choice though. Enjoy the lit and post up some pics and opinions. |
