Hmm Yamaha gets my vote this time.
The ONLY thing DW is doing any better than any other manufacturer is Timbre-matching the drums--and since they pateneted that process the others can't say they do it...
All the other manufacturers are using Keller shells or equivalent on their high-end kits, and all the hardware out there is decent on the higher end kits.
These pros could have their choice of ANY drumset, but chose Yamaha: Manu Katche, Carter Beauford, Steve Gadd, Billy Cobham, Dave Weckl, Sonny Emory, Anton Fig, Tommy Aldridge, David Garibaldi, Matt Cameron....
There has to be something to that besides a nice name... |
