Have to agree dawg!!! I owned a Gibralter rack along with Gibralter hardware. I hated both. The cymbal stands were good at first,..but the gromets that tighten the hold setting in ALL of the stands ended up either swelling or some kinda crap...which made it hard to fold em all down and set up every time...I got rid of all of them. The best hardware I have ever used is Pearl. And I have a Pearl Icon Rack...square tubing, but it's curved also. I've had it for a few years now and I think I paid $400 or so for it. Think about it,...the clamps on the square tubing will not slip on ya..ever, even years down the road with time and torture...lol. Mine is still in top notch shape and not to mention how awesome they make ya set look.
