Remo pinstripes coated are good but for the bass ringing, place a muffler inside of it. That will stop the bass ringing and gives a good thud . The old way was to place a pillow or a wool blanket in it.
There's also dampening muffler rings for the toms and snare, their low cost and very effective. But Remo also has a muffler that has Velcroand keeps it in place.
