I'd really love to go mad with a kitful of Zildjian K Customs, 16, 17, 18 crashes, 20 ride and 13 hats, plus probably 18+20 china. That would be fun.
A whole bunch of the OLD Sabian Hand-Hammered series would sound awesome, I had a 17" thin crash that just sang every time it was hit.
I think these days I'm working towards a setup of Istanbul Agops, maybe a Tony Williams Signature Ride and some Trad Dark crashes, mixed with some Sultan hats perhaps.....
I'm really itching to play some Paiste - I'm a big fan of Danny Carey and his cymbals sound great, but here in Bristol there's nowhere to try them out so it's a bit of a risk financially. Any recommendations? |
