Re: Five Count Drumming

Quintuplet drumming is used in big bands, rock, reggae, jazz, Latin, blues, soul and so on...

This style of drumming has been accommodated by drummers from Buddy Rich and Gene Krupa to Mitch Mitchell and beyond.

It goes to prove that equal timing like 8th, 16th notes and speed are not the only things that are essential to making a good drummer. Creativity has allot to do with it. It's something to be mastered in the drumming field and eventually to becoming a pro drummer.

So 3rd and 5th notes play an important part in drumming. It helps develop a style of your own with versatility.
