Had to chime in here. I just replaced this very kit you speak of. To my knowledge it is about as entry level as it gets for drums. I knew after about 6 months of first learning to play them that they are only entry level and are basically a good way to go to decide if this is the instrument you want to play. If it's not then you haven't spent much money and it's not a big deal. However, if it is something you take to, then you'll be saving to buy a much nicer kit.
