My double bass is very slowly improving with this. It may be my beater distance? I use medium tension and the beaters are about 10cm back.

I find that I barely progress speed each day, besides the fact I am getting a healthy burn. Do you suggest I move my beaters a bit closer? I also find it a lot harder to use mostly ankle with them so far back.
