Guilty of that myself
. When I was young and just learning, I hated the rudiments. Now that I'm older (and wiser?) I wish I'd have mastered them all, especially when I see drummers like Todd Sucherman incorporate them into monster jams. I keep stressing this to my son, whose just learning right now himself. I wonder if he'll listen
