Just bought a TAMA Imperialstar set with Meinl cymbals for my young niece. The bass drum was damaged in shipment. TAMA immediately found another set with the same finish and agreed to ship it, but it took forever for them to ship it out of Pennsylvania -- they shipped it three weeks after they said they would. Granted, they were closed one week for inventory, and the next week they went to the NAMM show, but don't say you're gonna ship it and not ship it. My drumstore said others had had problems with TAMA.
I think for a beginner's kit it's a great kit, but it was ordered October 25, supposed to be in in 3 or 4 weeks, and she received her replacement bass drum TODAY! I think it's Feb. 4. Gimme shelter! |
