Stuart Copeland - great meter and creativity
Gene Hoglan - incredible speed, endurance, melody and yet isn't afraid to integrate other styles
Lars Ulrich - knew when to bring the speed (relative to the songs) but also knows when less is more, (thread says favorite, not world's best)

All four of these dudes have had significantly long and influential careers. I have learned a lot from all of them and that is why they are my favorites.
