If it sounded great to you then set yours up just like the one you played. I am betting that the one you tried did not have the stock heads on it. Most stock heads tend to be on the low end of the quality scale, so you can make a huge jump in sound quality by replacing them right away.
That is a gorgeous looking kit (looked at the Natural Burst finish on the Ludwig site) and because it is Birch it will give nice rich deeper tones. This is a definate improvement over the CB you are playing. Congrats! |
