After getting a replacement lug and screws, you can simply remove heads, snare assembly and the two mounting screws that hold the lug in place from the inside of your snare drum.
If you have a small ratchet set, it will be easier than using a pair of pliers.
It's better to play it safe by replacing both the lug and the screws. The previous screw or lug that have crossed threads may damage the new ones.
So easy, a cave man can do it.
