Drum Animal has just posted his introduction to Drum Set Connect. He just bought a 6-piece hyperdrive set with a cymbal pack. The two places he went (Guitar Center and a local drum shop) said nothing about anything being discontinued. His local store called TAMA to be sure the drums were in stock before he ordered them.

Is it possible that only Musician's Friend discontinued them, not TAMA?

I suggest you have a local dealer call TAMA to see if you can get what you want in custom titanium fade.

Also, Drum Animal has some questions about the set. Maybe you could look up his Introduction (Hello Fellow Drummers) and help him out.
