The deep bass sound from the 60's and 70's were the drums made with a 30 degree bearing edge.
Such brands like Slingerland, Premier, Ludwig and Greatsch. These were the big boomers from back in the days.
Today most drums have a 45 degree bearing edge. Do your home work in detail and try before you buy.
