| So many of the marching band geeks at my high school weren't geeks at all. Our drum section had the most stoners of any other section in the band . . . at one point, half of them got busted for pot, having smoked up right before a football game. So even the band geeks aren't geeks anymore. Of course, geeks can probably smoke pot nowadays if they want, but these guys were out-and-out hippies, not geeky in the slightest. It's kind of weird to realize that those stereotypes don't even make sense anymore most of the time. |
