Re: HANNAH FORD: Hittin' Like a Girl

Well Dtxt, I am a thinker, so I tried Merriam-Webster's Ninth New Collegiate (1985) first. They were less than descriptive (to me, a full fledged hippie of the sixties) and said "[B]groovy[\B]\ adj groov-i-er; -est (ca. 1937) : MARVELOUS, WONDERFULL, EXCELLENT<felt that his poetry was interesting, enjoyable, not to mention~ -R.M. Muccigrosso>'. So I tried Wikipedia. My logic here was that since Wikipedia did cite the 1930's, and Websters states that the word is 'ca 1937' it would be pretty close. As you know, I am a rough work in progress, so I try to take advantage of all possible sources of information if they seem to be logical. With your post above, you sent us all in pursuit of untamed ornithoids. Not logical. In closing, in order to keep this thread on topic, I will state without reservation that Hannah Ford is definately groovy in every sense of the word.
