i got my first kit when i was 7, a 4pc whitehall stencil set that i wish i still had. i taught myself to play by listening to stevie wonder and p-funk records. i finally learned to read music in seventh grade and have been playing in one form or another ever since. (so i've been playing for 29 years.) i recently started teaching again (which i actually have no patience for) and restoring and building drums. how about you guys? how long and what's your style? |
