I would recommend trying Evans Hydraulic heads. They sound best when they are tuned to the shell's resonant frequency. The give a deep and dampered sound. When people say they sound "wet", I'm not sure what they mean exactly as they sound pretty damn dry. There is little to no ring when you play with a band and a very controlled ring when you play solo. Good heads but maybe not for everyone (they are a one-trick pony). Then again, if you like to tune your toms high, then I have to say that Hydraulics sound great like that as well--sound a lot like marching quads to me. Just my 2 cents.
