They try to sell me one everytime I go looking for a snare head. I do know that if you crank the living crap out of it it sounds pretty decent though.

Thanks there so many choices Remo,Evans etc. You talk to some people they love Remo others hate them same thing said about Evans. I used Remo for 30yrs but they didn't have all these new fancy heads when I started. I do find Remo a little harder to tune then an Evans head.Both companies make some great heads it drives me nuts. When I started all there was from Remo was Ambassador,Emporer and Pinstripes.I never tried Evans back then because a guy at SA told me they were geared more for jazz players.What did I know I was young.I'll find my sound. Thanks again
