Ha! I like your attitude Pyrochazm!

I used to play orchestral tympani when I was a student, so I like floor toms. Like Butter I'm drawn to deep sounds. I'm practising with four floor toms, 2 on each side, as well as two bass drums and two hihats...and I've got 4 assorted small toms. So I've got a big kit now, just to practice complete independence.

I always gigged with a 4 piece. I'd have to find or start a progressive rock band or something to get away with the bigger kit. I think the new trend, if you can call it that, is for creative, individual kits. Anything goes. In the earlier decades a lot of us tended to conform like cookie-cutter drummers.
