| I've never really played a flat ride, but that's something I'm hoping to rectify when my bank balance allows it.
I do like the sound, the ones I've heard have really clear definition and light, articulate stick response but with a decent wash going on too. As I'm sure some of you can predict, I like the sound of some of the Bosphorus and Istanbul models, the wash is just the right side of dark when mixed with the brighter ping and the overtones are quite musical without being too prominent.
I've not heard a flat K but I bet they sound awesome, Ks are my favourite Zildjian cymbals overall. |
