That's my point about the way things come across in print, I expect Danny and the interviewer were having a bit of friendly banter with some humour chucked in. When the reader reads that, obviously there's no two-way thing going on and it's easy to take everything quite coldly and matter-of-fact-ly. What do you think of the idea that the interviewer / editor has a responsibility too? A responsibility to make sure the interview is presented in the correct light and is open to as little misinterpretation as possible. You can't wholly blame the interviewee (not that you are!).
