Re: double hand crossover Yes, I sort of have. I was watching Neil Peart's "Anatomy of a Drum Solo" dvd in which he discusses his method. So I am going from that source. I "paused" the video and moved it frame by frame to get the correct sequence. I've only done about 40 beats of it, but since it is a repeating pattern, I'm sure any good drummer can figure out the rest.
My key is this: RH= Right Hand; LH=Left Hand; RD=Right Drum; LD=Left Drum
And the * indicates which hand is hitting which drum: as an example LH*RD=
left hand hitting right drum. Sorry, I'm not a musician, so this is the best transcription
I could come up with.
In terms of the "sticking" it is just basically rh lh rh lh rh lh rh lh like a single-stroke roll
However, the sequence as to which hand is striking which drum is an entirely different matter. However, there is a regular pattern that is easily seen. I think what I've included below should
