I'm off to buy a new pair of beaters for my Darla tomorrow and it prompted me to ask the question, what sort of beaters are you guys using?

Plastic, wood, felt, kangaroo scrotum, what do you use and why?

I'm currently using two all wood beaters. They are just like the standard felt but made of wood. They are still going strong after about three years, but lately I'm finding them to be too heavy. Plus I recently found some cheap Pearl beaters that are plastic and felt for only $20.

I've stuck to wood for so long for the extra attack and will probably use the plastic side of these beaters mainly, but it will be nice to have some variety.
