| Totally. I've had the same 10" splash since I started 9 years ago, and it's still not dented. I busted a lot of cymbals when I was starting until I learnt some proper techniques. Loosen the nut on the cymbal, swipe it sideways instead of hammering it and use your wrists instead of your forearm.
