does drumming hurt? any tips??

hi guys and gals, I've been drumming for about 5 years now, and this summer I did a 14 day back to back tour with my band.

the problem was that a week before the tour our joint hadliner act lost their drummer, so i filled in for both bands every day for a fortnight. that was aprox 2 45 mins sets, one average speed, one thrash metal speed.

around 9 dates in, my right wrist really started to kill. It was a really wierd, sort of burning pain, and i couldnt squeeze anything without getting shooting pain up my wrist. and my wrist clicked severely all the time.

anyway, i remidied this by warming up more, for about 20-30 mins before each gig, but every time i played the faster set my wrist died every night of the tour. I've quit that band since, and stayed with the slower bands stuff.

everything was fine after I had about a month off, but the last gig i had, which was only 30 mins set and quite slow in tempo, my wrist started to hurt again. I only warmed up for about 5 mins though.

any tips??? im gettin worried ive damaged myself permanently!!
