Simple Minded is on a distinguished road

so glad I made it

Well hello there to somebody who is anybody that could end up being everybody. After a few frustrations on getting me here on this site and eventually making it, I guess I need to do the polite and correct thing and that is to introduce myself as Simple Minded. I am 40something starting to learn to play drums and now I'm starting all over again in starting to learn how to work this computer/thingy-maginy. Boy this computer language sure is foreign to me. I guess learning to read music and playing the drums comes so much more natural to me.

Well all you happy Drummers out there I guess you're wandering what on earth got me doing drums - the answer to that is I LOVE MUSIC. I have a passion for music and a desire to learn to play the drums. I have set myself a goal to learn to play the drums in two years and from there I would like to learn the bass guitar. I guess my childhood dreams are only catching up with me now, but as the saying goes - better late than never. Where do I go after bass guitar - I stop right there. Piano, organ, sax or anything else does not turn me on as much as the above, but that doesn't mean to say I don't enjoy the music. I have a CD or two of Richard Clayderman and A CD or two of Herb Albert and what more can I say about Gary Moore and his Parisienne Walkway.
As for Pan music I love it to bits, but I end up crying and getting all depressed and soppy so my advice to myself is STAY AWAY.

Who are my favourite artists, there again define favourite. I just LOVE U2, Simple Minds, INXS, Bon Jovi, Uriah Heep, Deep Purple, ZZ Top and Queen. If I mention Elvis Presly, Jim Reeves, Pussycat - would that be a) giving away my age and b) having you roll over with laughter or c) showing the range of music I enjoy listening to. As mentioned before, I have a passion for music.
With regards to Reggae, Rap and the likes thereof, I'm not into that kinda music although Bob Marley and UB 40 did bring out quite a few good numbers.

So Drummers do you still wanna know me , can you help me - of course you can. Can you teach me a thing or two - okay now don't all shout at once, just get those fingers typing and help this 'ol granny to be

Regards
Simple Minded
